SINGAPORE: Red Velvet released new Mood Clip #2 High Tide and teaser images through its official social media channels on July 22, featuring instrumental snippets of both songs. The teasers were accompanied by dreamy concept images of the members set against a tranquil night sea, offering another glimpse into the album’s summer-inspired aesthetic.
‘Velvet Summer’, revealing fresh details about two new tracks, ‘Hot Girls Cold Vibe’ and ‘Orchestra’, ahead of the album’s release on August 3.
‘Hot Girls Cold Vibe’ is a pop dance song built around a catchy bassline, vibrant guitar melodies and dynamic beat changes. The track was written and composed with the participation of longtime Red Velvet collaborator KENZIE, and tells the story of confidence, friendship and the excitement of young love during a carefree summer night drive.
The second track, ‘Orchestra’, offers a completely different mood. Inspired by American composer Henry Mancini’s classic piece ‘Lujon’, the song reimagines the original with a modern sound while blending elegant orchestral elements with an exotic atmosphere. It portrays the emotions of two people falling in love on a summer night through a cinematic musical arrangement.
‘Velvet Summer’ will be released on August 3 at 6PM KST.
