SINGAPORE: ENHYPEN will continue activities as a six-member group following member Heeseung’s departure from the group to pursue solo activities.
The announcement was made by the group’s agency BELIFT LAB on March 10 through a notice shared on the global fan platform Weverse. According to the agency, ENHYPEN will move forward as a six-member group starting from upcoming official schedules.
While Heeseung will be leaving the group, he will remain under BELIFT LAB and will begin a new chapter as a solo artist under the agency.
BELIFT LAB shared that the decision came after extensive discussions regarding both the team’s direction and the personal aspirations of the members. During those conversations, the company recognised Heeseung’s clear musical direction and chose to respect his artistic path.
The agency also acknowledged that the news may be difficult for fans, but emphasised that the decision was made after a long period of careful consideration and with the future of both ENHYPEN and Heeseung in mind.

First, we sincerely thank ENGENE who continue to support ENHYPEN with unwavering love. We would like to inform you about ENHYPEN’s future activity structure.
Our company has been discussing and carefully considering the direction ENHYPEN should take moving forward, as well as their next goals. We had in-depth conversations about the future each member envisions and the direction of the team. During this process, we confirmed that Heeseung has a clear musical direction he wishes to pursue, and we have decided to respect that.
Accordingly, Heeseung will become independent from the ENHYPEN team, and ENHYPEN will continue their activities as a six-member group starting from upcoming official schedules.

Following the announcement, Heeseung also shared a handwritten letter addressing fans and explaining his thoughts.

I’m HEESEUNG.
First of all, I’m sure many ENGENEs were surprised to hear my news, and I’m sure there are a lot of people who are curious about the sudden story. So I wanted to tell ENGENEs in person.
For me, six years was a time filled with moments that were overwhelming and precious beyond words. Thanks to the members who shared countless emotions and ENGENEs who always filled the empty spaces, I was able to approach my dream step by step, even when it once felt unreachable.
Those moments will remain as shining memories that I will never forget.
I don’t want to forget those moments, and I want to be someone who continues to support ENHYPEN more than anyone else.
I shared the results of my work with the company and spoke with many people for a long time about how I could show them. After thinking deeply about it, I made a big decision to approach ENGENEs in a better way according to the direction suggested by the company.
As ENGENEs know, I have been working on my own music and spending a lot of time hoping to show it to you. There were many things I wanted to present, but I also didn’t want my personal desires to come before the team.
