SINGAPORE — SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi begins military service and will be entering the recruit training center on September 16 to start his five weeks of basic training before receiving his unit placement.
Hoshi’s discharge date is scheduled for March 15, 2027.
Before enlisting, he went in live and he shared a short message with CARATs, “I’ll serve bravely, so please don’t worry too much.” He also showed his freshly cut hair, adding, “Now that I’ve cut it, it feels real. I feel more resolved, and I’ll do well.”
HYBE announced that Hoshi will be releasing a surprise present for fans, a solo track ‘Take A Shot’ which will be released at 6 PM KST. The song is a powerful hip-hop track built on the rage genre, combining sharp rap, layered synths, and guitar riffs.
Hoshi joined in writing the lyrics, expressing his burning passion through words and sound.
With Hoshi’s enlistment, SEVENTEEN now has four members in service. Jeonghan enlisted in September last year, Wonwoo began alternative duty this April, and Woozi joined on September 15.
Together with CARATs, we wish Hoshi good health and strength during his service, and we will be waiting for his safe return.
