KUALA LUMPUR – June 24
After 11 years of anticipation, Ailee and her Malaysian Aileeans finally reunited for an unforgettable evening. The highly anticipated I AM:HERE concert took place at the Megastar Arena, Kuala Lumpur, at 8:30 PM, drawing fans from across Southeast Asia, Dubai, London, and other parts of the world.

LOL Asia, the main organizer of the concert, invited local artist Aina Abdul to open for Ailee’s show. Aina sang beautifully in Korean, setting the stage for Ailee’s concert. After Aina’s opening segment, Ailee captivated the audience with a stunning Heaven VCR, leading into her grand entrance as she performed “I Will Show You” in a dazzling nude sparkling dress. This performance marked a heartfelt reunion with her Malaysian Aileeans, who had eagerly awaited this moment for over a decade.

Ailee performed a powerful setlist, including hits like “Don’t Teach Me,” “No No No,” “Don’t Touch Me,” and “Singing Got Better.”

The highlight was her performance of “I Will Go to You Like the First Snow” from the hit drama series Goblin. She dedicated the song to her Malaysian fans, changing the title to “Malaysia, I Will One Day Come Back to You Like the First Snow.”

The concert concluded with high-energy performances of “Ra Ta Ta,” “Mind Your Own Business,” and “U & I.”

Fans prepared a touching sing-along of “Heaven,” which nearly brought Ailee to tears. “You guys, you sneaky,” she teased, fighting back emotions. “I promised I wouldn’t cry today.”

During the pre-concert press conference, Ailee answered questions from both local and international media. We were honored when Ailee responded to our question;
Question: Are there any specific songs in your album that you hold special meaning to and why?
Ailee: I do have a couple of songs but definitely one of the songs that really hit hard into my heart is ‘Heaven,’ because it’s my debut song. It’s the song that brought me to where I am today. I don’t think I will be here even without that song. Definitely ‘heaven’ is that one song that is really really important to me.’
Ailee was also presented with a surprise gift: a video message from her Malaysian Aileeans, and a stunning three-tiered cake and a beautifully designed pink kebaya. “Is this gold? I’m eating gold,” Ailee exclaimed in awe. She jokingly asked, “Can I wear this to sleep?” Fans responded enthusiastically, suggesting she wear it on her wedding day, leaving Ailee speechless.
Ailee concluded the night with two beautiful encores, giving her fans the piece they had been missing for 11 years. Her heartfelt performance and deep connection with her audience left everyone eagerly anticipating her return, as she promised to come back to Malaysia for another concert.
Special thanks to LOL Asia for the media invitation.
