On March 15, SM Entertainment announced that NCT Taeyong will be enlisting on April 15, Taeyong than released a handwritten letter to fans
Below is the full statement from SM Entertainment;
“Hello, this is SM Entertainment,
NCT’s Taeyong will commence his service in the Navy on April 15.
Please note that there won’t be a separate official event on the day of his admission to the recruit training center, as it will be a private affair to ensure safety and prevent congestion. Please keep on showing your ongoing love and support until the day he completes his military duty and returns in good health are greatly appreciated.
Thank you.”
Taeyong’s handwritten letter,
“Hello, I’m Taeyong,
It feels like just the beginning of 2024, but spring has already arrived. I’m writing this letter to inform you that I’ll be commencing my military duty as of April 15th. I understand that some of you may be preparing for our time apart, while others might be surprised. Thus, I wanted to personally address NCTzens.
Reflecting on my journey, I believe I’ve grown and matured immensely, thanks to your unwavering support and the bond with my fellow members. Each moment spent with you all has been filled with significance and joy. Thank you for illuminating my life with unforgettable memories.
There are numerous aspirations I wish to pursue alongside both the members and our fans. I’m certain that during my military service, I will glean invaluable lessons from you all. I solemnly pledge that upon my return, I will emerge as an improved version of myself. NCTzens, we’ve evolved together, filled with pride. It’s this shared growth that makes our connection so deep and cherished. I’ll miss you dearly.
Rest assured, I’ll return safely, so please take care of yourselves. I’ll be eagerly awaiting the moment to reunite.”
