On Jan 8, SM Entertainment officially announced that all 8 EXO members will continue to promote EXO group activities under SM Entertainment.
SM Entertainment also stated that EXO is planning to release new music and will hold a Fan Meeting in April.

“Hello,
This is SM Entertainment.
We would like to inform you about EXO’s activities in the future.
In the future, all eight members will continue their activities as EXO, and we plan to continue meeting fans through various activities, including the EXO fan meeting which will be scheduled in April, as well as introducing new music and stages.
In particular, the exclusive contracts with members whose contracts have been renewed are still valid, and D.O. (Do Kyungsoo), whose exclusive contract has ended, has also agreed to participate in EXO activities together and is in ongoing discussions about future schedules. In the case of Chen (Kim Jongdae), Baekhyun (Byun Baekhyun), and Xiumin (Kim Minseok), under the above exclusive contract, we have agreed with the company that the artists can proceed separately with individual activities only.
As before, EXO plans to communicate with fans through good music and stages, so we ask for your interest and support in the members’ activities.
We will work harder and support the activities and growth of EXO and each member.
