SINGAPORE: IU has announced a surprise new single, marking her first music release in a year.
At midnight on September 4, IU dropped the first teaser for the upcoming single across her official social media platforms, giving fans their first look at what she has planned for her return.
The teaser takes the form of a computer loading screen, which eventually reveals a destination to an unknown planet. The date “September 10” also appears on the screen, adding another detail to the mysterious concept surrounding the release.
The upcoming single will be IU’s first release since her surprise digital single ‘Bye, Summer,’ which was released on September 10, 2025.
IU’s new single is set to be released on September 10, 2026 at 6 PM KST, with further details expected to be revealed ahead of its release.
