SINGAPORE: EXO’s Baekhyun has reportedly established a new entertainment company, B.EON Entertainment, amid an ongoing exclusive contract dispute between EXO-CBX members Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin and their agency INB100.
According to a report by Biz Hankook on October 30, Baekhyun established B.EON Entertainment on September 18 and assumed the position of CEO. The company initially registered Baekhyun’s residence as its headquarters before relocating to a new address on October 22.
The establishment of B.EON Entertainment comes after the Seoul Central District Court granted EXO-CBX’s request to temporarily suspend their exclusive contracts with INB100 on September 15. The suspension will remain in effect until the court delivers its first-instance ruling in the ongoing lawsuit concerning the validity of their contracts.
Biz Hankook also reported that a management professional who previously worked with Baekhyun has joined the company as an inside director.
Following the court’s decision, the EXO-CBX members have continued their individual activities, including fan meetings in Shanghai, China. Xiumin and Chen held their respective fan meetings on September 26 and 27, while Baekhyun met fans on October 2.
A representative of B.EON Entertainment confirmed to Biz Hankook that the three members intend to work together, although no specific contracts have been signed.
The representative explained that the company was established to manage revenue from smaller events and address tax-related matters. Activities through B.EON Entertainment could reportedly begin after March 2027.
Meanwhile, INB100 stated that it was unaware of the establishment of the new company.
The first hearing in EXO-CBX’s lawsuit against INB100 is scheduled for November 4. While the court’s temporary injunction allows the members to pursue independent activities, the legal dispute concerning their exclusive contracts remains ongoing.
