TWICE’s Chaeyoung is stepping into a new chapter of her career following her departure from JYP Entertainment, with plans to build her solo music activities around her own creative world, in her letter she wrote“LIL FANTASY World” but didn’t specify the exact name for her label.
Chaeyoung personally shared the news with ONCE through her social media on August 13, saying she wanted fans who have remained by her side to hear about her next move directly from her.
For her solo career, Chaeyoung plans to continue developing music through “LIL FANTASY,” the creative identity introduced through her first solo album, “LIL FANTASY vol.1,” released in September 2025.
As she prepares for her next chapter, Chaeyoung thanked JYP Entertainment and the TWICE team for supporting her throughout the past 14 years. She also expressed her love and appreciation for her fellow members, who have continued to support her along the way.
Despite leaving JYP for her individual activities, Chaeyoung made clear that this does not mark the end of her journey with TWICE. She confirmed that her group activities will continue, describing TWICE as her roots and an important part of why she has received so much love throughout her career.
Chaeyoung added that she hopes both sides of herself, as a member of TWICE and as the artist behind her independent label can continue bringing meaningful music into fans’ lives.
Details surrounding the management structure for Chaeyoung’s future solo activities are currently being discussed.
Her departure follows fellow TWICE member Jeongyeon, who recently signed an exclusive contract with Varo Entertainment for her individual activities while continuing as a member of TWICE.

“Hello, this is Chaeyoung.
I wanted my family, ONCE, who have always been by my side, to be the first to hear the news about me directly from me.
I plan to continue creating and making music within my own “LIL FANTASY” world.
I want to thank everyone at JYP and the TWICE team for supporting and believing in this mischievous girl for the past 14 years.
I also want to say thank you and I love you to our members, who have always been by my side, supporting me and giving me strength!
More than anything, I want to let you know that my activities with TWICE will continue unchanged.
I believe the reason I have received so much love is because of all the time I have spent as part of TWICE, which is where my roots are.
I hope that both Chaeyoung of TWICE and Chaeyoung of “LIL FANTASY” can continue to be someone who brings meaningful music into your lives.
I promise that through this new challenge, I’ll continue growing into an even better person.
