SINGAPORE: BIGBANG released surreal visual photos for “BiiiG.” The newly released photos released across their official social media platforms bring G-DRAGON, TAEYANG and DAESUNG together in two contrasting settings. One keeps the background completely white, allowing the members and their individual styling to take centre stage. Dressed in black suits, the trio adds their own character through different silhouettes, hairstyles and accessories.
Another side of the concept takes BIGBANG into a surreal world. The members are placed beneath a painted sky filled with layers of blue, grey, cream and warmer tones, giving the backdrop the texture of a large-scale oil painting, and the Angular black and white structures, striped walls and tall chimney-like columns build an unusual landscape around the trio. In the wider shot, the structure appears to sit partly surrounded by water, with its distorted architecture reflected across the surface. The members become smaller figures within the scene, adding to the scale and slightly dreamlike feel of the visual.
The latest photos offer another look at the visual direction surrounding “BiiiG,” following the individual “iii ver.” photos previously shared for G-DRAGON, TAEYANG and DAESUNG.
According to YG Entertainment, the upcoming song is described as one that “most vividly shows BIGBANG as they are today,” adding to anticipation for what the trio will bring to their first new release in four years.
“BiiiG” will be released on August 19 at 6 PM KST, the same day BIGBANG marks its 20th debut anniversary.
