[EXCLUSIVE] Doh Kyungsoo Reportedly Parts Ways with Company Soosoo but Keeps His 50% Ownership

SEOUL — Doh Kyungsoo has reportedly ended his contract with Company Soosoo after two years together, choosing not to renew. Despite leaving the agency, he is said to be keeping his 50 percent ownership stake, showing no plans to let go of his shares.

Kyungsoo first joined Company Soosoo in November 2023, a company founded by his longtime manager Nam Kyungsoo, who worked with him for more than a decade during his SM Entertainment years. The agency started with a capital of 100 million KRW and grew rapidly under Kyungsoo’s presence as both artist and board director. Throughout their partnership, he led the company’s growth through his music, acting projects, and Asia fan tours.

It has been reported that Kyungsoo informed the agency of his decision not to renew his exclusive contract, while refusing to sell his 50 percent shares. As one of the key decision-makers, his approval remains necessary for any major business move. Since Company Soosoo was originally built around his career, the remaining team is now expected to restructure and explore a new direction without him.

The company’s value is currently estimated between 15 and 20 billion KRW, a remarkable growth within just two years. While Kyungsoo’s contribution played a big part in that success, both sides have reportedly parted on professional terms. Company Soosoo will continue its operations, while Kyungsoo prepares for his next chapter.

Although the contract has ended, Company Soosoo will continue to handle Kyungsoo’s remaining schedules, including his ongoing “DO it!” Asia Tour, which will conclude with final shows on December 6 and 7 at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul.

Since debuting with EXO in 2012, Doh Kyungsoo has proven his range as both a singer and actor. His standout performances in 100 Days My Prince, Bad Prosecutor, and films such as Along with the Gods, Swing Kids, and Secret have solidified his position as one of Korea’s most versatile artists. He will next appear in the Disney+ original Sculpture City, premiering on November 5, taking on a new villain role that signals a bold new phase in his career.
