On July 12th 2023, a Chinese media source reported to Munhwa llbo, BLACKPINK Lisa has yet to renew her contract with YG Entertainment which will end on August 2023.
Other BLACKPINK members, Jennie, Jisoo and Rosé contract renewal proceedings went smoothly except for Lisa.
The BLACKPINK group appeared in a Chinese Show without Lisa being present.
YG Entertainment spokesperson claimed that it was, “due to Lisa’s tour schedule as well as her individually scheduled activities, that she can’t participate in the Chinese show and it has nothing to do with the contract renewal.”
YG Entertainment mentioned, “Contract renewals with Lisa are currently under discussion.”
Currently, BLACKPINK is in the middle of a world tour (BORN PINK) after the encore shows in Paris, BLACKPINK world tour will continue to Las Vegas, San Francisco.
