SINGAPORE: BTS takes home three major wins at the American Music Awards, securing Artist of the Year, Song of the Summer, and Best Male K-Pop Artist at one of the biggest music award shows in the United States.
Held on May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, BTS was announced as the winner of Artist of the Year, surpassing nominees including Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift.
The American Music Awards, which determines its winners through fan voting, is widely recognised as one of the three major music award ceremonies in the U.S., alongside the Grammy Awards and the Billboard Music Awards.
