SINGAPORE — SEVENTEEN’S special unit, S.COUPS X MINGYU (CXM) won their first music show trophy with title track ‘5, 4, 3 (Pretty Woman) (feat. Lay Bankz),’ taking first place on KBS2’s ‘Music Bank’ K-Chart for the week of September 29 to October 5.
Since its release on September 29, the track has shown strong momentum both in South Korea and globally. It reached No.1 on Bugs’ real-time chart, topped the Circle Chart weekly digital ranking, and continued to clim international charts. The song also entered the iTunes Worldwide Songs chart, landed at No.5 on Billboard Japan’s ‘Hot Shot Songs’, and placed within LINE Music’s real-time daily, and weekly Top 100 in Japan.
Their first mini album, ‘HYPE VIBES,’ broke records with over 887,000 first-week sales, setting a new benchmark for K-pop unit albums. It also topped major music charts and received a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan after surpassing 100,000 shipments on release day.
Even after their music show run, S.COUPS X MINGYU continues to keep the excitement going for fans. The duo dropped a live clip ‘For You’ followed by a behind-the-scenes clip at their recording process in “THE VIBES #3 EVERY VIBE HAS A STORY,” released on October 10, which quickly gained loved from fans.
Both S.COUPS and MINGYU will set to join SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] In U.S at the Tacoma Dome on October 11 before kicking off local promotions. On October 15. S.COUPS and MINGYU will be making a guest appearances on 102.7 KIIS FM, one of iHeartRadio’s top U,S stations, to connect with fans.
