SEOUL — With just 5 days left until his long-awaited comeback, EXO’s Kai reached out to fans with a personal message, reflecting on the emotions leading up to the release of his fourth mini-album, ‘Wait On Me,’ set to drop on April 21 at 6 PM KST.
Featuring seven tracks, including the title song ‘Wait On Me,’ the album is said to embody the aesthetic of waiting woven into what Kai describes as a bold expression of his signature Kai Style.’
As excitement builds, Kai shared his thoughts ahead of the release:
“I can feel all kinds of emotions as we are about to make a comeback after a long time. I was definitely excited and happy, but also nervous and burdened. From some point on, my album started to feel like a medium to make memories with EXO-L.”
He added,
“I think the value of this album is enough if I can spend a happy time with everyone, including those who waited for me and those who will get to know me and like me anew. That’s how much I want to enjoy this time with my fans.”

Kai’s special promo website ‘Behind Wait’ gives a closer look at the album-making process. The site features handwritten notes, Polaroids, and behind-the-scenes content, offering fans more intimate journey leading up to the release.
