On March 2nd at 4 PM, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, SHINee made their long-awaited return after 12 years since their last concert in 2012, with only KEY, Minho, and Taemin gracing the stage for SHINee World VI [Perfect Illumination].
During the concert introductions, SHINee presented a special silhouettes featuring all five members, including ONEW, currently on hiatus for health reasons, and Jonghyun, who passed away in December 2017.
The electrifying two-hour performance kicked off with an EPIC rendition of ‘Sherlock’, specially tailored for their SHINee World VI [Perfect Illumination] Tour in Singapore.
During their first ment, KEY expressed their gratitude to Singapore SHAWOLS for their patience, promising to perform a setlist filled with old favorites as a special treat.
“Since it’s been a long time and it took us like almost over 10 years, just to perform in Singapore which I don’t know why we even took so long to come back, anyways we decided to change the setlist and we wanted to sing all the old song just for you guys,” said KEY.
Sharing a glimpse into their time in Singapore, Minho and Taemin indulged in a swim at their hotel, while KEY opted for some much-needed rest.
‘Me, and Taemin went for a swim in our hotel,” said Minho.
KEY added, “I was too exhausted to join them, I don’t know how they managed to go swimming I was so exhausted.”
Taemin interrupted, “yea I was very exhausted too.”
KEY asked Taemin, “Then why did you went swimming?”
Taemin answered, “I don’t know.” with Minho joking hits him after he answer, “I don’t know.”
Taemin also mentioned that they ate Singapore’s famous dishes, Chilli crab and Black pepper crab, in their hotel room.
He inadvertently mentioned that Minho’s favorite dish was chilli crab, prompting Minho to swiftly correct him, stating, “No, it’s Black pepper crab,” accidentally spitting in Taemin’s direction. Taemin humorously quipped, “Oh, holy water,” in response, leading to laughter among the group, and fans. Apologizing, Minho reiterated, “Black pepper crab,” while covering his mouth to prevent any further mishaps, resulting in an endearing moment of playful banter between them.
In their 3rd ment, SHINee promised to return to Singapore as a complete group in the near future, urging fans to support each member’s solo endeavors. Taemin humorously said, ‘We will come to Singapore soon, but please come to Korea too!’
KEY acknowledged that fans were willing to travel all the way from Singapore to South Korea just to witness their live performances.
Closing the show with ‘Hitchhiking,’ ‘Runaway’ and ‘The Feeling’ SHINee delighted fans with a group photo session, capturing memories with Singapore SHAWOLS.
SHINee World VI [Perfect Illumination] In Asia will continue in Hong Kong on March 16th.
