SINGAPORE: BIGBANG is preparing to return to the global stage this year as the iconic K-pop group celebrates the 20th anniversary of their debut.
The plan was confirmed by YG Entertainment executive producer Yang Hyun-suk in an interview released on the company’s official website and social media channels on March 4.
Speaking about the upcoming concerts, Yang Hyun-suk said the agency and the members have already agreed to move forward with a global tour.

“We have reached an agreement with the BIGBANG members to hold concerts,” Yang Hyun-suk said. “Since we have worked together for a long time, I don’t think there will be any major difficulties. All of the YG staff will do their best to create a perfect and outstanding performance.”
Since debuting in 2006, BIGBANG has established itself as one of the defining groups of second-generation K-pop, releasing a series of major hits including “Haru Haru,” “Last Farewell,” and “Fantastic Baby.”
The group last released music together in April 2022 with the digital single “Still Life.” Since then, members G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung have remained active with individual projects while occasionally appearing together at each other’s concerts. The trio also reunited on stage during the 2024 MAMA Awards, offering fans a rare moment of the members together.
As BIGBANG approaches its two-decade milestone, the members have continued to express their intention to return with group activities.
During a solo fan meeting last month, G-Dragon shared his excitement about the anniversary year, saying, “BIGBANG will make a 20th anniversary comeback this year.”
The upcoming tour is expected to celebrate the group’s legacy while marking a renewed collaboration between YG Entertainment and BIGBANG, a partnership that has played a major role in shaping the global rise of K-pop.
Further details regarding the tour schedule are expected to be announced at a later date.
BIGBANG is also scheduled to perform next month at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California, one of the world’s largest outdoor music festivals.
